Printable Kakuro FAQ
- Are these printable Kakuro puzzles free?
- Yes, completely free for personal, classroom and non-commercial use. There is no watermark and no sign-up.
- How do I solve a Kakuro puzzle?
- Fill every white cell with a digit from 1 to 9 so that each run adds up to the number in the clue cell at its start: the small number in the top-right is for the run going across, the one in the bottom-left is for the run going down. A digit cannot repeat within a run. Start with short runs, such as a sum of 3 or 4 in two cells, where only one combination of digits works.
- How do I save the puzzles as a PDF?
- Press Print / Save as PDF, then in the print dialog choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination instead of a printer.
- Does every puzzle have a single solution?
- Yes. Each puzzle is checked by a solver when it is generated and has exactly one valid solution, so you never need to guess.
- What if I get stuck on a puzzle?
- Use the answer key printed after the puzzles, or type the grid into the Kakuro solver to see the digits for any layout.
