About Queens
Play Queens online for free. Place exactly one queen in every row, every column, and every colored region, with no two queens adjacent — including diagonally. It's the viral color-region puzzle in the spirit of LinkedIn's Queens and Meowdoku.
How to play Queens
- Tap a cell to place a queen; tap again to remove it or mark it as excluded.
- Every row must contain exactly one queen.
- Every column must contain exactly one queen.
- Every colored region must contain exactly one queen.
- No two queens may touch, including diagonally — the puzzle is solved when all four rules hold.
Tips & strategy
- Start with the smallest colored regions — they usually pin a queen down to just a cell or two.
- Once a queen is placed, mark its row, column, and the eight cells around it as excluded to speed up deduction.
- If a region only has cells left in one row, every other cell in that row can be excluded.
Queens FAQ
Is this the same puzzle as LinkedIn's Queens?
Yes — same core rules (one queen per row, column, and region, no touching), built as an original puzzle for Logic Puzzles.
Do queens attack like in chess here?
No line-of-sight attacks — the only adjacency rule is that queens can't touch, including diagonally.
