About Number Maze
Play Number Maze online for free — a hexagonal number-path puzzle in the spirit of Rikudo. Place 1 through N so each pair of consecutive numbers sits in neighboring hexes. Some numbers are given, and diamond marks force a consecutive pair across that edge.
How to play Number Maze
- The board is a honeycomb of hexes. You must use each number from 1 to the number of cells exactly once.
- Consecutive numbers (like 7 and 8) must sit in hexes that share an edge.
- Some numbers are already placed. A white diamond on an edge means those two hexes must be consecutive.
- Tap an empty hex next to a filled one to place the next consecutive number. Tap a number you placed to erase it.
Tips & strategy
- Start from 1 and the last number — they are always given — and grow the path from both ends.
- A diamond is a forced step: those two cells are neighbors on the path, so you can often deduce both numbers.
- If two consecutive numbers are both placed, they must already be neighbors. A clash means something earlier is wrong.
Number Maze FAQ
Is this the same as a square number maze?
No. This is a hexagonal path puzzle: fill every cell with consecutive numbers, like Rikudo, rather than jumping a printed distance on a square grid.
What does the diamond mean?
The path must cross that edge, so the two hexes it sits between contain consecutive numbers.
